4-hr workshop for kids 11–16 years. Learn to paint with watercolours through guided techniques that build confidence, creativity, patience, and self-expression in a supportive, relaxed group setting.
Explore Watercolour Painting is a 4-hour guided art workshop designed to support older children and teens to slow down, build skills, and gain confidence through the gentle and expressive medium of watercolour. Participants will be introduced to foundational watercolour techniques such as colour mixing, brush control, layering, washes, and working with water — learning how to guide the paint while also responding to its natural flow.
Watercolour painting offers powerful therapeutic value. It encourages patience, focus, flexibility, and self-trust, as the medium invites young people to let go of perfection and adapt to unexpected outcomes. Through this process, participants begin to notice how they approach learning new skills, problem-solve, manage frustration, and respond to challenge — insights that can be carried into everyday life.
Throughout the workshop, young people are supported to explore their own creative style in a safe and encouraging environment. Time is offered for gentle reflection, helping participants recognise their strengths, build emotional awareness, and develop a deeper connection to their creativity. The focus is on process, growth, and self-expression rather than achieving a “perfect” result.
By combining creative exploration with gentle reflective language, this workshop encourages children to connect with their emotions, imagination, and personal strengths—all while having fun and constructing a glowing artwork that celebrates their individuality.
By the end of the workshop, participants will walk away with new creative skills, increased confidence,
