DAVE KELLY (UK)

DAVE KELLY is a British blues singer, guitarist & composer, who has been active on the UK blues music scene since the 1960s.  He has played & recorded with US blues artists such as Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Howlin’ Wolf, Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Eric Bibb & also performed in leading bands, including the John Dummer Blues Band, Tramp, The Blues Band (founded with Paul Jones of Manfred Mann) 30-Odd Foot of Grunts & his own Dave Kelly Band.  He’s also a regular soloist across the International Festival scene (Glastonbury, Vancouver Island Music Festival, Ely Folk Festival, The Great British R&B Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival & more). Dave remains active in Europe as a soloist &  as a duo with his long-time friend Paul Jones. His 2023 album, “Sun In My Face” was his 14th.

Voted British Blues Connection acoustic artist of the year for five consecutive years, Dave received a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ from the UK Blues Federation Awards committee in 2025.
