Why Come Along?

Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation provides practical support services for people and their families in the Newcastle & Hunter region navigating breast cancer so they can focus on getting through their treatment and recovery.

It is our mission to replicate the assistance that people would receive during their breast cancer journey, to ensure that our local community is supported during such a challenging time. Our supportive care services are practical and immediate, and we have worked hard with local nurses, doctors, patients and psychologists to ensure the services we are providing will be most beneficial to our clients.

Our services include everything from a wig library, private transport, cleaning and lawn maintenance, exercise programs, comfort cushions for post-surgery, support groups and much more.

We are 100% funded by our local community, and we receive no government funding and have no sister charity to support us.

HBCF is already supporting more than 250 local families providing approximately 3500 support services each year and with cancer diagnosis’ rising, this number will only continue to increase.
