The Writers' Circle, Gold Coast, is a writing group with a difference. We are small with around ten writers attending our monthly meeting. Our purpose is to listen, share and actively support each other to develop our writing abilities and achieve our individual writing goals. We are open to a wide spectrum of writers from fiction and non-fiction writers, family history writers, poets, children's writers, memoir writers, and historical writers.

Whether you are just beginning to write or you are an experienced writer, whether you are published or not yet published, you are welcome to attend The Writers’ Circle monthly meetings.

At each meeting, everyone has the opportunity to talk about their own writing, and to ask the group for suggestions on how to solve particular issues they have come up against. For each meeting, one writer will give a short reading from their own work. What goes around comes around which in this context is plenty of support, practical solutions and encouragement.

The Writers' Circle is friendly, practical, collaborative and motivational. I have previously convened a similar writing group in another location, and it worked very effectively in the ways described in the previous paragraph. Some of our writers won prizes in competitions and a number of writers realised their dreams of becoming published authors.

All age groups are welcome.

There is no joining fee or attendance fee.
