About Nick Charles

Nick Charles is known internationally as “Australia’s virtuoso of acoustic roots and blues”. His 35+ year career has seen him accumulate every conceivable accolade, including Port Fairy Artist of the Year , The AGE Blues album of the year and is a twice winner of the Australian Song Contest. He’s toured with artists including John Hammond, Guy Clarke, Ralph McTell, Robben Ford and BB King touring the US 13 times in recent years, performing over 300 shows there. He’s released 20 albums worldwide. This is dazzling fingerpicking roots magic and a lifetime’s stories and songs from the world’s musical highways. In the words of Bruce Elder from the Sydney Morning Herald “he plays guitar like an angel!”

About the venue

This is an outdoor COVID safe house concert only open to those who are fully vaccinated. Maximum audience numbers are 40 people.

Admission is by prepaid ticket only. There are no tickets for sale on the night of the show.

The stage is on the front lawn to the right of the pathway leading to the house with seating available on the lawn on the left of the pathway. Seating is also available on the verandah overlooking the lawn. There are outdoor toilet facilities.

What to bring

Please bring your seating with you - deck chair, beach chair or blanket. Please bring whatever it is you wish to drink or eat. There is no food or alcohol for sale at the venue.

Parking

There's very limited parking in Gilmore Street. Patrons are advised to park in Smiths's Beach Road and walk to Gilmore St. - approx 250 metres.
