Join Granite Borders Landcare and our experts in Tenterfield Park (Derby Street) as we walk and talk all about weeds…
This is a MUST HAVE SKILL for ALL LAND CARERS. We will learn:
- How to identify exotic versus native weeds
- Different weed identification techniques
- How these weeds might impact on our native flora & fauna and even our primary producers
- The identification of ‘typical’ and readily found weeds in our region (and what are our priorities….)
- Best practice methods of control: how to control ‘identified’ weeds safely & effectively and what permits are required
- Discussion on essential tools for the ‘shed’
- Useful techniques including monitoring & resources that are available locally and online
# This is an outdoor activity so please dress appropriately
