Private Practice Webinar: Criminalisation of Intentional Wage Underpayments and Preventing Underpayments

Date: Wednesday, 19 February 2025

Time: 12:15pm - 1:00pm AEST

As you may be aware, as of 1 January 2025, following the registration of the Voluntary Small Business Wage Compliance Code, intentional underpayments of wages or entitlements is a criminal offence, that can include penalties such as fines and imprisonment for employers. The Voluntary Small Business Wage Compliance Code has been established to assist small businesses (those with less than 15 employees) to ensure compliance and protect against criminal liability.

AMA (NSW) Workplace Relations will present the "Criminalisation of Intentional Wage Underpayments and Preventing Underpayments" webinar to work through the new legal provisions for Private Practice Owners and Managers.

The webinar will also provide practical guidance to ensure your employees covered by the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020 (HPSSA) and Nurses Award 2020 are paid correctly and how to resolve disputes effectively to protect your Practice.

The webinar will be held on Wednesday, 19 February 2025.

We encourage you to email your questions before the webinar to events@amansw.com.au. We will endeavour to address them during the webinar (time permitting) or answer them afterwards.
