There were none bigger than Dermott Brereton in his prime - a cultural icon and King of Melbourne during the 1980's. A 5-time Premiership player with the powerhouse Hawthorn Hawks, Dermott was a superstar with a bad boy attitude - with enough stories to fill a book.

Doug Hawkins was a fan favourite that had a wing at the Whitten Oval named after him. 350 VFL/AFL games are testament to his skill and longevity - and some of the best comedy moments of "The Footy Show" in the 1990's coming from the banter between himself and Dermott.
