Please join us for breakfast with special guest speakers Kate McNally and Alison Robertson.
Kate was admitted to practice in 2004. From 2004 to 2017 Kate worked at a national law firm before starting her own boutique litigation law firm, McNally & Co, based in Allendale Square, Perth. Kate practices in all areas of commercial litigation and white collar crime. In the past 12 months the firm has acted in matters in all Western Australian courts, excluding the family court, including a 60 day listed trial in the Supreme Court (part heard) regarding alleged oppression of minority shareholders; a 2021 trial in the Federal Court in relation to the termination of a mining contract brought by the liquidator of the contractor; and a 2021 trial in the Supreme Court regarding a public law dispute. In 2021 and within 4 years of the firm commencing, Kate McNally and her new firm were each recognised by Doyle’s Guide as a recommended commercial litigation & dispute resolution lawyer & firm respectively, amongst a field of primarily national and international firms.
For more than 20 years Alison has specialised in all aspects of insolvency, reconstruction and recovery. Alison has consistently acted for major banks, as well as mid-tier lenders, providing strategic advice, and where necessary, acting to enforce securities in the most efficient way, cognisant always of the lender’s policies toward customers. Alison also acts for insolvency practitioners, both big firm and boutique, in their various roles as receivers, administrators, and liquidators. She brings her significant experience and judgment to every aspect of external administrations. Alison also specialises in general commercial litigation, including contract disputes, litigation arising from board disputes, representation based claims, partnership and property disputes, with a focus on timely and cost efficient outcomes.
