NICK BOWD QUARTET

Saxophonist & composer NICK BOWD leads a new Sydney quartet featuring NICK SOUTHCOTT, PETE KOHLOFF & CAMERON REID.  The group performs Bowd’s original compositions alongside music written by his mentors, exploring a contemporary jazz sound built around strong melodies, open improvisation & close ensemble interaction.

Bowd has appeared with artists & ensembles including George Benson, James Morrison & the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, & was a finalist in the National Jazz Awards. This quartet places his distinctive voice alongside the creativity & experience of Southcott, Kohlhoff & Reid, creating music that is energetic, spacious & shaped in the moment.
