Choose Your Own Adventure: Tarot & Witches Shoot Day!

If you missed out on any of our most popular shoot days, we’re here to soothe your FOMO with our Choose Your Own Adventure Shoot Day! At this event, you’ll be able to choose from two packages: Tarot Major Arcana or The Witches You Couldn’t Burn and create the images you desire!

Caitlin of KTB is one of Queensland’s most creative portraiture photographers and with an eye for the beautiful and the surreal, she can transport you to worlds both vintage and ethereal!

Lila Luxx of Bombshell Burlesque will guide you through the process, including pre-production in a private Facebook group for participants to assist with developing and sourcing costumes and props, and will be on hand on the day to ensure you are positioned in poses that are as meaningful as they are flattering. Check out all of the details below as they vary for each package then book in by placing the deposit of the theme of your choice!

The Process

• 1.Review the two different themes below and choose the one that you’re drawn to the most.
• 2.Book in by paying your deposit via the ticketing website.
• 3.You’ll be added to a Facebook group to nominate which Adventure you’d like to shoot as and discuss costuming and props so that we can create the best look for each of you.
• 4.Two weeks before the event, your balance payment is due. You’ll also receive a schedule for shooting.
• 5.On the day, you’ll be allocated a time to shoot in one look and select your favourite image, all assisted by Lila Luxx to capture your perfect moment.
• 6.KTB will take your selected image and add the digital elements to create a unique, dreamlike Fantasy image, with you as it’s focus!

THE SACRED & THE DIVINE: MAJOR ARCANA TAROT PORTRAIT

Bring your own interpretation and meaning to the emblematic imagery of the Tarot to be set against a dreamlike world, digitally composited around you by KTB. The only question remains – Which card are you drawn to?

BRING: Your props, costumes, hair and makeup to suit the arcana of your choice. Please refer to our guide.

INCLUSIONS: 15 minutes of shoot time, 15 minutes to choose your image on the day. Your selected image will be edited and composited to create your full tarot image and emailed to you in high res format within a maximum of 6 weeks. Please note: Hair, makeup & costuming is DIY for this adventure.

THE WITCHES YOU COULDN’T BURN PORTRAIT

Whether you want to channel historical figures who were sent to the stake to re-write the ending, or you’re ready to don couture and yell BALENCIAGA, KTB will seamlessly transport you to your moment of defiance!

BRING: Your props, costumes, hair and makeup to suit the witch at the stake of your choice.

FAQS:

What can I add to make the portrait my own? Our Fantasy Portraits are composites, using superimposing techniques. That is we layer your portrait image against a custom background and add existing 3D elements around you. A well-thought out costume and props make for a wonderful result in our collaboration with you. The library is quite extensive so most additions like wings, horns and handheld items are easily accessible, however we are unable to engage a digital artist to create a custom item for you. If you're unsure if something would be available in the library, please ask and we can find a substitute for you.

Can you turn me into a centaur/mermaid/creature of my own creation? Yes and no. Turning your human form into another creature form is unachievable at this stage, however, adding elements such as wings, horns, props, fabric and headpieces can contribute to your desired character and is absolutely do-able! Any wind swept hair or fabric will need to be achieved in person as it can’t be altered in post. If you are seeking a unique body change, please check with us in advance as we are only able to composite from the 3D library and are unable to merge your body into a custom element.

Is this prop placeholder suitable for my shot? If it's a similar shape to the composited object, and you hold it similarly to how you’d hold your composited object, then yes! If you’re still worried, don’t bring anything - that can be easy too.

Can you cover my bra straps and bruises? Yes, glamour retouching is our standard for Fantasy Portrait sessions.

Can you change the colour of my outfit?Usually, yes, but please check with us first. Requests from dark to light are usually not as simple.

Can I supply personal images to include in our fantasy portraits? Pending its resolution and quality, please email ktb@ktb.media to check before the shoot/before you build on the concept.
