FIELDS

FIELDS are an Eora  based collective led by guitarist/ producer YIANNI ADAMS & percussionist KALON CAPTAIN . Known for their freeform improvisations, FIELDS explore themes of minimalism, repetition & responsive interplay, bridging the gap between ambient grooves & afro-jazz. The group formed in 2023 when Yianni & Kalon, alongside Harry Tomspett & Kurt Lam recorded several freeform improvisations, many of which became the foundation of their debut self-titled album released in April 2025 via the independent Sydney label CG Discs. Through the joy of pure spontaneity FIELDS embrace an open, boundaryless approach to music, guided by the simple rule to listen & be present. For this special performance at Butchers Brew Bar Yianni & Kalon will be joined by Harry Tompsett (tenor saxophone), Tom Levings (keyboard) and Youssef Sawires (darbuka, conga).
