One of the keys to good storytelling is pacing – knowing when to skim over or summarise sections of a narrative and when to show action and character in scene. During this half-day workshop, we will learn how to write compelling summary and powerful scene, using a combination of examples, instruction and discussion. We will practice writing scene and summary with creative exercises and there will be opportunities to share writing with the group.
