A lively musical comedy set in the fictional town of Mungadoo, this original show unfolds through the lens of a local morning TV news broadcast. The community is thrown into turmoil over a controversial plan to move the town’s levee and build a flashy casino. What begins as a humorous clash of opinions between locals - footy players, CWA members, pub regulars and the Mayor - quickly escalates into a deeper story about identity, loyalty and the cost of “progress.” As slick developers charm their way into influence and the town becomes divided, a brewing storm exposes both the flaws in the plan and the strength of the people. When disaster strikes and the levee fails, it’s not money or power that saves Mungadoo, but grit, unity and heart, as the community bands together to protect their town – and prove that when it matters most, Mungadoo looks after its own.
