ANTONIX

ANTONIX brings a high-energy blend of jazz, funk & fusion, combining groove-heavy original music with creative arrangements & plenty of improvisation. Inspired by artists such as Trombone Shorty, Roy Hargrove & Nils Landgren, the band draws on modern jazz, funk & brass-driven influences to create a sound that is energetic, melodic & groove-focused.

Led by trombonist & composer ANTONY VISSER, Antonix released their debut album Haphazard Rebellion in 2020, with original track 'Smooth Dancer' receiving a Highly Commended award in the Jazz category at the 2021 Queensland Music Awards.

Having performed across Brisbane’s live music scene, Antonix is now bringing their original jazz-funk sound to Sydney for the first time.

Expect infectious grooves, strong melodies & an energetic night of contemporary jazz, funk & fusion.
