If you’re looking for a great opportunity for Professional Development, or simply want to up-skill in the area of Mental Health, then this is the perfect workshop to do just that!
By attending an accredited Mental Health First Aid Online workshop, you will have the opportunity to become a certified Mental Health First Aider. This course will equip you with the tools to help assist people experiencing mental health struggles, enabling you you to provide practical support until appropriate professional help is engaged. The course involves completion of 5-7 hours of self directed online learning followed by 2 x 2.5 hour teleconference sessions held on the 5th and 6th of November.
This course is run by Suzanne Mealing, a Clinical Psychologist with a passion for educating people and raising awareness of Mental Health in the Community. She volunteers her time to facilitate this workshop, with all proceeds returned to Bright Church to support community projects.
1. Self Directed Component - Comprises of 5-7 hours self directed online elearning. Following registrations participants will be sent a voucher to register and logon to complete this component. Component 1 must be completed prior to attending the two teleconference sessions on Nov 5-6.
2. Teleconferences - Component 2 includes 2 x 2.5 hour teleconference sessions. Link will be emailed to participants to log on and they will need a working camera and microphone to participate.
Please note: You MUST be able to attend both teleconference sessions in their entirety and complete the self directed eLearning component to be eligible for certification.
