Event Overview

Join WIBAS for an exclusive guided tour by Hansen Yuncken of the Newcastle Art Gallery expansion, including an overview of the construction and now a landmark project that celebrates creativity, culture, and community. 

For more than 40 years, Newcastle Art Gallery has been a cornerstone of the city’s cultural identity. Its current transformation adds over 1,600 square metres of new exhibition space, doubling its capacity to showcase a $145 million collection, including major First Nations works.

The redevelopment introduces three new gallery spaces, a central atrium, café, retail shop, education areas, and a secure, international-standard loading dock — positioning the Gallery as a premier arts destination for generations to come.
