Paris Underground comes to Camelot Lounge for Bastille Day… Vive La Résistance!
Delivered entirely in French audiences will be transported : a moody, immersive cabaret/theatre hybrid that evokes the smoky underground Paris bars of Piaf’s day — voice and accordion, raw and passionate.
This show is, at heart, a tribute to resilience, the human spirit, and the craving for freedom despite all odds.
Piaf’s songs speak of love, loss, resistance — and they feel just as urgent now as they did then.
★★★★½ – John Shand, music critic for SMH and The Age
“The sort of voice that would still light up a room if the power failed. A contralto of power, range and conviction…”
“Leonid Beshlei… pure brilliance.”
“Bold. Unapologetic.”
