Join pianist Ronan Apcar for his first performance at Camelot Lounge in a relaxed, off-beat solo piano gig that defies genre, 'Third Stream'
Come be entertained by Ronan's eclectic versatility that spans from Russian tango to American fusion jazz, Aussie alt-rock to original tunes, coupled with impressive virtuosity and his candid chit-chat. If you're lucky, he might even bring his toy piano along...
"Third Stream" was a term from the 1950s used to describe music that was somewhere between classical and jazz. Today, most music seems to be a fusion of many styles and many artists are also genre-defying, including Ronan Apcar. Known for his versatility, edge, and tenacity, Ronan's fluency across all kinds of music translates into his exciting work as a pianist. Described as "a talent far beyond his age" (Limelight Magazine), he is unafraid to experiment and challenge norms and is best known for his work in contemporary classical and new music, including his debut album Dulcie Holland Crescent which was made one of the ABC's featured albums.
