Groove Cruise #58 3-6pm Sunday 18 January features The Specialties, who have been captivating audiences across the East Coast with their electrifying performances, with Pearl Noire on vocals, Mick Malouf on bass, Stuart Henderson on drums, Tom Freeman on guitar, and founder Wayne Rigby on sax and flute. In only two years, they’ve received eight awards nominations, including the Sydney Blues Society’s Favourite Blues Band and Favourite Emerging Act, and have performed their unique versions of classic Blues, Jazz, Rockabilly, and Soul songs at the Kiama Jazz and Blues Festival, the Girrakool Blues Festival, the House of Blues Festival in Coffs Harbour, and the Blues & Brews Festival in Bulli. Fully licensed bar, so no BYO alcohol, but you’re welcome to BYO food (plus disposable cutlery, plates, napkins) and non-alcoholic drinks.
