The Rotary Club of Darwin Sunrise invites you to join us for a fun-filled night of trivia! Get together with friends and family to form a team of up to (8) people to see who will be crowned trivia Gurus!
$10 per person. Great prizes to be won, super raffle, and games between rounds.
Funds raised from this event will benefit international and local charities that focus on increasing the health of girls and women:
Jifunze International, started and managed by Australian Victoria Porter, Jifunze operates in Kenya and provides for children to take part in health education, empowers mothers to learn through community-based workshops, and encourages those involved to pass on to their peers the knowledge they have gained.
Days for Girls (NT) is a local group based in Darwin that supports the global work of Days for Girls International. Volunteers make cost-effective, safe, sustainable and contextually relevant products to help girls and women manage their periods and engage in livelihood activities. The majority of the kits made by the NT chapter are provided to girls and women in Timor Leste.
Share the Dignity (NT) is a local group that supports the national work of Share the Dignity. The charity is focused on ending period poverty, and ensuring that all girls and women have unrestricted access to sanitary items. They work with other charitable organisations (like Foodbank, domestic violence shelters, homeless support services) to provide period products to women and girls, as no woman should have to choose between a tampon and a meal.
There's so much more a girl can do and achieve when she is able to adequately manage her period!
