This year's Wattle Day will include the popular wattle plant identification, keying through various species at Tenterfield Park.

Wednesday, 2nd September from 9:30am, Tenterfield Park, NSW (East Street).

One of our most successful events is Wattle Day. This year, we will revisit Tenterfield Park and offer guided Wattle identification walks. Our walk and talk guides may include other species identification, as emerges on the day.

Meet your tour guides:

1. Sarah Caldwell - Mole Station Native Nursery consultant, Sarah has over 40 years cultivating local native species and providing these across the Northern Tablelands and beyond. She has always been generous in sharing her expertise in plant knowledge.
2. Dr Andrew Pengelly - Andrew is a member of Stanthorpe Rare Wildflower Consortium. He completed research on native plants at the University of Newcastle, and has been a Lecturer on medical plants and ethnobotany.

This event will include guided Wattle identification, which was a big success last year. We will picnic in the park afterwards, with catering to be supplied by TenterLife and the Courtyard Cafe!

Please note, the whole event will be at Tenterfield Park. Feel free to stroll up, if you live nearby.

If you require transport (even if you have a car), please meet at the Landcare Office for car pooling, as parking is limited at the park. Vehicles should leave the Landcare Office by 9:15am at the latest, so just make sure you're there before then.
