Macleay Floodplain Rainforest Planting Day
Event Details

Welcome to Macleay Floodplain Rainforest Planting Day event. This exciting event will feature a public planting day at one of the few rainforest remnants on the Macleay Floodplain. We would like to invite anyone interested in helping plant trees to expand this rare patch of vegetation and contribute to conserving this plant community's natural values. The event will be held in the Kinchela area, and the address of the venue will be emailed to ticket holders on Monday, the 13th of October, before the event.

Event Itinerary:

9: 00 am - 9: 30 am: Arrival and sign on.

9: 30 am - 12: 30 pm: Tree planting demonstration with supervisor staff, followed by tree planting

12: 30 pm - 1: 00 pm: lunch

1: 00 pm: There will be an opportunity to continue tree planting after lunch for anyone interested on the day with staff.

Please bring your own sun protection, plenty of water and any refreshments you would like, sturdy footwear and clothing, gloves, a mallet or hammer, and your favorite tree-planting tools. Macleay Landcare will make some spare gloves and tools available for use on the day, but they will be fairly limited. The Macleay Floodplain Rainforest Remnant Project is delivered by Macleay Landcare and endorsed by the North Coast Local Land Services.
