After a brief hiatus, the Mind Matters Ball returns in 2025.

As with our previous events, the Mind Matters Ball will be held at NEX @ Newcastle Wests and will run on the 12th April 2025 from 6:00pm to 11:00pm.

Following the great success of our past events wherein we have raised over $170,000.00 for these charities, this year we are proud to again be raising funds to be split evenly between the two suicide prevention charities, R U OK? and Lifeline - Hunter. The night will consist of various fundraising activities, with guest speakers, live music from talented local musicians and much more!

R U OK? is an Australian charity whose goal is to get people to start having conversations about mental health with one another by asking the simple question of R U OK? The organisation encourages everyone to invest more time in the people around them, to check up on one another and to ask R U OK? because when our relationships are strong, we are more likely to see the signs that someone we care about is struggling.

Lifeline Hunter encompasses Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Upper Hunter communities. They provide an extensive service offering to help seekers, as well as community training and Lifeline Shops, in addition to supporting national crisis support services.

Their mission is to support people in our communities to seek help in a way, a time and at a place that works for them. Lifeline supports the community and people experiencing difficultythrough accessible crisis support, counselling, education, community capacity building and referral services. They do this by:

• Connecting people with care
• Run by the local community for the localcommunity
• A voice of calm in crisis

As there will be alcohol served at this event, tickets are restricted to those who are 18 and over.
