Released on ABC Classic in 2021, Hope is an abbreviation of hopefulness and hopelessness, with the music responding to events including the Black Summer bushfires and Covid-19 lockdowns. Nat expertly weaves melodic jazz improvisation with beautiful chamber music, creating a unique suite of mesmerising pieces. This album reached #1 on the iTunes Classical charts in Australia, and was nominated for Best Classical Album in the 2021 ARIA awards. Hope experienced live, with Nat at the piano, is a cathartic musical experience, creating the space to acknowledge all we have been through in the past few years, and ultimately leaving the audience with a sense of optimism, and hope for the future. A perfect way to start the new year.
