LOCKIE BENNETT (NZ) TRIO

LOCKIE BENNETT is a jazz guitarist based in Wellington, NZ, who specialises in bop-oriented music.  Lockie is regarded as one of NZ’s most in-demand straight-ahead jazz guitarists.  Since graduating from the NZ School of Music in 2021, Lockie has performed & recorded regularly as both a leader & a side man with NZ’s top musicians. Recently, Lockie has performed a headline performance at NZ's National Jazz Festival, released his debut album & is planning to relocate to Europe next year.

This Sydney debut performance will be rounded out by local rhythm section stalwarts, THOMAS BOTTING & TIM GELDENS.  The trio will be performing compositions & standards from Bud Powell, Charlie Parker & Fats Navarro, among others.
