Transmute the Shadow 3 hr workshop
We are so excited to invite Ben Mackinnon Yoga back to Tidal. The last time we had him here for a dream workshop it was a packed house and everyone left so inspired to embrace this much neglected part of our lives that sometimes is screaming out for our attention.
Dreams don't pander to our likes or dislikes. They lay themselves bare, raw and unedited whether we agree or not. Dreams are a window to what is below the surface. Both good and bad. Repressed and expressed. In this 3hr in-depth workshop utilising group and individual work we will begin to foster a connection to the shadow in ourselves and in others. Both Golden and Dark.
We will embark on a warriors journey to embrace what we hide from others because we deem it too brilliant or too repulsive. A warriors journey to welcome them both home through dream practices, lucid dream practices and meditation. Walk Into the darkness and the light with an open heart. For the greatest form of protection is compassion.
As the one of the modern forefathers of modern psychology Carl Jung once said. "Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darkness of other people."
Ben is a Registered Nurse in Mental Health, a Firefighter, a qualified Yoga Teacher in Vinyasa Krama and Yin Yoga, a personal trainer, a massage therapist and a lover of handmade jewellery and photography. He has been involved in Yoga, Bodywork and Healthcare for 20 years and is passionate about sharing his love of Yoga, breathwork, bodywork and sound healing with those tired and weary in a world of ever increasing speed. He is heavily influenced by Tibetan Buddhism and the path of Vajrayana (Tantric Buddhism) and Dzogchen. In his spare time when not fighting fires, nursing, teaching or running workshops he is an avid traveller and surfer.
