Join us for our April edition of our Cultural Safety and Intercultural Communication Seminars.

We’re delighted to bring you a panel discussion hosted by Menzies Communicate Study Partnership Senior Educator and Training Facilitator, Mario Faggion.

Joining us on the panel will be:

  • Dr Dana Fitzsimmons, a Senior Top End Rural Medical Practitioner who will share her insights on working in culturally safe and intercultural practices as a clinician in remote communities.
  • Prof Josh Francis, a Paediatrician and Paediatric Infectious Diseases Physician at Royal Darwin Hospital, and a Senior Principal Research Fellow at Menzies School of Health Research, who will share his insights from working with communities across the Northern Territory and Timor-Leste.
  • Bettina Danganbarr, a Galiwin'ku community leader who will share her lived experience on cultural safety and intercultural communication, as a parent of a child receiving hospital care.

This event is targeted to Northern Territory health professionals, looking to grow their skills in providing culturally safe healthcare.
