The African Women Dinner Dance will be held on  Saturday 15th October 2022 at Liverpool Catholic Club. at Liverpool Catholic Club.

Sorry for all the cancellation due to Covid-19.  We will have a great night.

The African Women Dinner Dance (AWDD) is an annual event but unfortunately had to be cancelled in 2020, and the 2021 event was subsequently postponed from October 2021 to 26th February 2022. However, the recent extension of the ‘singing & dancing’ ban to 28th February has sadly encompassed the date planned for the 2021 AWDD (26th February).

As a result, the African Women’s Group (AWG) has decided to again cancel the AWDD for 2021 and concentrate on holding the 2022 event.

As such, this 15th Anniversary event will now be held in the usual month of October, and on Saturday 15th October 2022 at the same venue.

We hope that all existing plans for the February event can be transferred to the October event, which is now 8 months away.

Hello ladies, due to the current lockdown conditions in NSW....the Organising Committee have decided to reschedule this year's AWDD until next year on 26th February 2022.Hopefully things will have settled by then.If you would like a refund or discuss options available regarding your payments ....pls feel free to contact the number on the flyer.Sorry for the inconveniences caused.Stay safe .. 🙏🙏

DUE TO CURRENT COVID-19 SITUATION IN NSW, WE ARE JUST REACHING OUT TO YOU ALL TO LET YOU KNOW WE MIGHT HAVE TO CHANGE THE DATE. AT THIS CURRENT TIME,  WE CANNOT SAY EXACTLY WHAT COULD HAPPEN BUT FOR SURE WE ARE HAVING A DINNER DANCE ONCE THE VENUE OPENS UP AND GIVES US A NEW DATE ASAP.  SORRY FOR ALL THE INCONVENIENCE CAUSED.

African Women Group(NSW) is a community organisation Auspiced by STARTTS and supported by CMRC . The African Women Dinner Dance is an annual community event that brings together and celebrates African women’s success in NSW. This years’ event will be our 15th anniversary and will celebrate our achievements over the years. AWG has provided valuable and beneficial support services to many diverse African women and their families. Social and educational programs aim to connect isolated and newly arrived African women, providing a suite of skills and social activities that build upon social cohesion and community inclusion.

African Women Dinner Dance also provides an opportunity for women to build social support networks, connect with services that aim to promote economic participation, resources and services linkages and listen to inspirational guest speakers who both motivate and provide role modelling for other African women. - This evening allows women who have come to Australia as migrants or refugees to share their experiences and celebrate friendship, strength and resilience.
