The Blues Preachers will take you to another place and time, somewhere between 1920 and 1940. They perform a fusion of good old blues, rags, gospel, and hillbilly folk. Driving fingerstyle and slide-guitar combined with tasteful harmonica and old-school vocal harmonies that create a traditional sound that will have you on the edge of your seats.

The Blues Preachers have the reputation as one of the best acoustic blues & roots acts in Australia & have played almost every major festival in the country.

This show celebrates their latest single release, "Pray”. OUT NOW

"If pop music is akin to mass-produced lager, then The Blues Preachers’ music is more your craft beer."

John Shand - SMH & The Age

"The Preachers specialise in pre-war, rag time blues – Brother John spinning six string delights while Captain Bluetongue wails on the harp and they combine fine vocal harmonies to make something special indeed. These two could well have written the soundtrack to O’ Brother, Where Art Thou."

Sam Fell - Rhythms Magazine

"The Blues Preachers record, Dry Long So, is one of the best blues records of the decade".

Samuel Fell / Rhythms Magazine.

The Blues Preachers received Top 5 Nominations for 2 songs in "The Independent Music Awards" with internationally recognised recording artists as judges including: Tom Waits, Ozzy Osbourne, Suzanne Vega, Charlie Musselwhite, Judy Collins and Benji and Joel Madden. Plus "Divine Justice Coming Down" chosen by Yoko Ono as runner-up in the John Lennon 70th birthday anniversary song contest.
