Gifted and Talented Education: Moving From the Basics to Excellence (2020)

This is a specialist course for teachers, coordinators and school leaders who have either completed the Growing Up Greatness three-day course or who have an expert-level understanding of gifted and talented education. This course is designed to take your knowledge further with a focus on reviewing and implementing school-wide provision for gifted and talented students, and building your school's profile as an effective provider of education for gifted and talented students. This course will be a combination of theory and practical planning, covering the following topics:

- What does whole-school provision for gifted and talented students look like?
- How to make an impact in gifted and talented education at a whole-school level?
- Identifying barriers and exploring solutions to these
- Reviewing policy to support practice
- Roles and responsibilities throughout the school
- Communication and marketing for a clear, consistent and accurate message

Kylie Bice (BA, DipEd, MEd) is an experienced and award-winning teacher and scholar, and is now Director and Education Consultant with Growing Up Greatness www.growingupgreatness.com. Kylie specialises in gifted education, differentiation, assessment, disability and educating diverse student groups. Kylie was previously the Senior Inclusive and Gifted Education Consultant at the Association of Independent Schools of WA, and has many years of experience working with diverse students in government and non-government schools in Western Australia, including students with learning difficulties, disability, gifted and talented and twice-exceptional (2E). Kylie has delivered professional learning to a range of audiences, schools, national and international conferences. REFUND POLICY: A refund for the full amount minus the booking fee of $3.50 will be given if participants advise Growing Up Greatness at least 48 hours before the event. No individual or group refunds will be given after this time. All participants will receive a full refund if the event is cancelled by Growing Up Greatness.
