You’ll discover a little of the history behind these small charm bags before taking part in the making of your own Gris-Gris Money Bag, creating a personal charm centered around prosperity and intention.

🏛️ THE LADY DALY

And what better place to open the gates?

The Lady Daly Hotel has stood on Port Road in Hindmarsh since 1863, built from locally manufactured bricks and opening as a licensed hotel in 1864. It was named after Lady Daly, wife of South Australia’s Governor Sir Dominick Daly.

Its story is particularly special because Eliza Linn, who established and first licensed the hotel, was a remarkable woman who owned the property and ran the hotel herself. She continued to own it until her death in 1884.

The Lady Daly is now recognized as a State Heritage Place — making it a rather fitting setting for an afternoon devoted to old traditions, stories, fortune and the unseen.
