Arboretum Kite Fest - Kite Making

Create and decorate your own kite to fly at one of Canberra's most scenic locations at Kite Fest. Perfect for creative minds and busy feet!

After flying their kite, children can take their creations home with them. In the event where the weather is unsuitable for flying, children can still make and decorate their kite.

Date: 1 October 2023
Times: 5 sessions between 10am - 3pm
Duration: 45 minutes
Ages: 5 years and older
Price: $15 per kite kit

Join in the other festivities and soar the day away at the Arboretum. Enjoy a selection of pop-up food options, kite demonstrations in the amphitheatre, live entertainment and much more.

Important Information

• Please ensure children have a drink bottle and are dressed for the weather
• Suitable for ages 5 years plus. Parents/carers are free and required to stay with children for this workshop, where possible one parent/carer per child
• If you or your child are unwell, please do not attend
• Bathroom and hand washing facilities are available
