In celebration of National Ag Week 2021, PIEFA will be hosting twenty nation-wide live Farmer Time sessions for students from Foundation to Year 12, showcasing producers from a broad range of food and fibre industries.
The focus of these sessions is to assist students to develop an understanding of the importance of Australia's primary industries.
This 15-minute session is designed for students in Years 3 and 4. Throughout the session, students will hear about Beneficial Insects and Cropping with grains producer, Ashlee Bartlett. Farmer Ashlee will explore the interdependence between plants, soils and insects, and discuss some of the ways certain insects can benefit crop production.
