Led exclusively by musical theatre star and Australia’s leading audition technique teacher, Queenie van de Zandt, this full-day intensive course is designed for performers ready to take their audition skills to the next level.
With over 20 years of study and experience, Queenie has developed a unique and highly effective audition method that has helped her students land lead roles in major productions such as The Sound of Music, Matilda, Singin’ in the Rain, and We Will Rock You.
Her proven success has earned her the title of “Musical Theatre Star-Maker” in the media.

The Australian Musical Theatre Academy (AMTA) was founded in 2015 by acclaimed performer and educator Queenie van de Zandt, following 15 years of teaching masterclasses across
Australia and internationally. Known as a "star-maker," Queenie developed a reputation for guiding performers to success in professional musicals, with her work featured in major Australian media and institutions like NIDA, VCA, and the Queensland Conservatorium.
Joined by theatre producer Tiffany Noack and later vocal coach Margi de Ferranti, AMTA now draws on over 65 years of combined industry experience to deliver world-class training in musical theatre, cabaret, comedy, TV, and film. Alumni frequently appear in major productions including Chicago, Wicked, & Juliet, and Come From Away, while graduates from AMTA's cabaret and creative career streams thrive across festivals and industries.
AMTA offers bespoke training to individuals, schools, institutions, and arts organisations, with programs tailored for performers of all ages and levels. Their unique strength lies in connecting emerging artists with top-tier mentors through innovative, inclusive learning models.
