THE JAZZ WEST COMBO + THE HOKEY CARMICHAELS (DOUBLE BILL)
The Jazz West Combo is the brainchild of pedal steel guitarist Graham Griffith & guitarist/ singer Jenny Griffith in collaboration with veteran guitarist Tony Burkys The combo features material ranging from Benny Goodman & Django Reinhardt to Ernest Tubb & Bob Wills. Graham & Tony have written twin lead arrangements for this swinging jazz & country crossover group.
The Hokey Carmichaels bring the sound of pedal steel guitar together with tenor saxophone & cornet. Influenced by big band arrangements & steel guitar swing, the Hokeys present a unique blend of vocals & instrumentals ranging from Benny Moten, Sonny Rollins to Luke Wills' Rhythm Busters, Hoagy Carmichael & WC Handy.
