Forget Santa! This Christmas, have your portrait taken at the National Library of Australia by the staff from PhotoAccess ACT.

To coincide with our exhibition Viewfinder: Photography from the 1970s to Now, we've partnered with PhotoAccess ACT to give you the opportunity to have your portrait taken at the Library.

You'll be able to takeaway a memento of your visit, create a family memory, or perhaps use the photo as a Christmas present for loved ones. And if that wasn't enough to sway you to skip the queue for Santa, did we mention that the pictures will be taken on large format cameras?

There will be two portrait stations featuring the beautiful Library backdrop for people to have their portrait taken individually or in groups of two, three or more. As the photo locations are outside the Library building,  you are welcome to bring along your family pet  to have them included in your portrait.

Having your picture taken is free, but bookings are essential. There will be one sitting per group, with a maximum of two photographic prints.

This event is presented by PhotoAccess ACT and the National Library of Australia.
