Introduction to Construction Assurance

This introductory course provides a practical overview of construction assurance in the context of secure and high risk built environments. Participants will gain an understanding of the purpose of construction assurance, key roles and responsibilities, and how assurance activities support compliance with security requirements, standards and design intent. The course explores common vulnerabilities that arise during construction, effective inspection and hold point practices, documentation and reporting expectations, and how to work collaboratively with project teams to achieve secure, compliant outcomes. It is designed for security advisors, project managers and built environment professionals seeking a clear foundation in construction assurance principles and practice.

Delivery is via online classroom. Sessions run from 10:0am to 2:00 pm, Monday to Wednesday. Some out-of-session work is expected.
