This event takes place over 2 full days. Tuesday 23rd of April 9.30am - 4.00pm and Wednesday 24th of April 9.30am - 4.00pm.

What is LAMP?

Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP) is a therapeutic approach based on neurological and motor learning principles. The goal is to provide individuals a method of independently and spontaneously expressing themselves in any setting. The LAMP approach can be used with both Unity® & Words for Life.

Who can attend? 

This event it targeted at professionals working with people who use AAC. However, it is appropriate for anyone who is keenly interested in learning more about LAMP, or who is already using the LAMP approach. Attendees may be parents, carers, therapists, educators, education support or university students who have some knowledge of AAC.

What is covered?

AAC theory, LAMP theory and evidence base, the five components of LAMP, how to assess for, and implement the LAMP therapy approach. Practical tools will also be given to assist implementation.

Please note Day 1 covers the same information as in the online workshop. If you have attended a Liberator online LAMP training, you can register to attend Day 2 only of this face to face training.
