RACI Vic Crystal Growing Competition 2026

All Victorian Primary and Secondary School-aged Students are invited to take part in this year's Vic Branch Crystal Growing Competition. Upon registration, you will be sent the instructions. 

Please note - you will be required to provide all equipment and materials. This includes potash alum (aluminium potassium sulfate dodecahydrate) which may be purchased from reliable chemical suppliers, such as Westlab (https://westlab.com.au).

Teachers can choose when the Crystal Growing Competition will run in their school. They can start growing the crystal at any time, with the final deadline for results to be submitted to raci-viccmt@raci.org.au by the due date.

Please note:
The closing date for registrations to be received is Friday 15th May 2026.

The closing date for competition results to be received back from schools via email is Monday 3rd August 2026.
