UNRAVEL - A SYNOPSIS

UNRAVEL is an original full-length contemporary dance work inspired by the traditional ballet “Romeo and Juliet”. The original plot has been deconstructed to reveal a dark and moody tale of love, chaos and vengeance. Choreographed by the award-winning Canberra-based choreographers, Bonnie Neate and Suzy Piani, this will a production like no other.

NOTE: This production contains explicit scenes dealing with mental health issues and suicide. 

ABOUT THE PROJECT

UNRAVEL is the culmination of six months of intense work by advanced dancers from across the ACT and surrounding regions. The creators, Bonnie Neate and Suzy Piani, started the project as a unique initiative to bring together, train and showcase pre-professional dancers from our region - an opportunity usually not available to Canberra dancers without interstate travel. Focus areas in particular are contemporary dance floor work, technique and pas de deux. From the program dancers have gained industry-specific performance experience at a pre-professional level.
