GPs have a pivotal role to play in the care of their dying patients and families. This importance of the GP role will only increase with our growing and ageing population. This education series delivered by The Centre for Palliative Care, will provide GPs with practical information and resources to enhance their knowledge and skills when caring for dying patients and their families.

Recognising and managing an imminently dying person – including anticipatory prescribing

Learn how to recognise the signs that indicate a patient is likely to die within days, and anticipate and prescribe to manage common end of life symptoms. Understand the principles of breakthrough prescribing and the resources available to guide conversion of oral to subcutaneous medications

Presenter: Associate Professor Mark Boughey
