Fresh off a six-week tour of sold-out rooms & festivals in the UK & Scandinavia, THE PLEASURES are preparing for their Official Showcase at the 25th Anniversary AmericanaFest in Nashville, Tennessee - where they’ll join the ranks of the hottest & most talked-about Americana acts in the world.

The timing seems right to leak a little more of the new album to the world, a follow-up to their brilliantly reviewed debut ‘The Beginning of the End’. With fresh tunes under their collective belts from their time on the road, co-front persons CATHERINE BRITT & LACHLAN BRYAN will take these new shows to a handful of venues at home with more festival appearances in Australia to be announced soon.

THE PLEASURES are a new band fronted by Catherine Britt & Lachlan Bryan. Formed in 2022, their first three singles received heavy rotation on local & national radio, & their debut record The Beginning of the End (released in August 2023) debuted at #2 on the Official ARIA Country Charts, spent 12 weeks in the Americana Music Association Albums charts & scored the band two nominations for the 2024 Golden Guitars Australian Country Music Awards before giving a standout performance at the awards ceremony!

No shrinking violets, The Pleasures' sound is raucous, dirty & blues-inspired (occasionally interrupted by delicate moments of sublime country-folk), whilst their subject matter leaps from bold & bawdy to heartfelt & insightful. They call themselves a country band, but there’s as much Jack White influence here as there is George Jones. If you get the feeling these guys have drawn upon every debaucherous night out, self-inflicted wound, bleeding heart & broken bone to come up with this noise, you'd be absolutely right.

Already festival favourites in their home country, The Pleasures have delighted crowds at Port Fairy Folk Festival, The Gympie Muster, Out On The Weekend, Dashville Skyline, Folk Alliance International, Songmasters of the Universe, Groundwater Music Festival, Country by the River, Country by the Bay, Nundle Rocks & more. This year the band heads to Europe & The UK for a headline tour, including performances at Shrewsbury Folk Festival &  Maverick Festival.
