TERMS AND CONDITIONS BELOW
Maitland Family Support Inc are proud to offer this special opportunity for local indigenous families to celebrate NAIDOC 2026 with a visit to Murrook Cultural Centre on July 16, 2026.
Join us for a day to immerse yourself in culture and enjoy a lunch together. ALL CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A SUPERVISING ADULT.
The day will start with bus pick up from Woodberry Family Centre at 9am. The bus will depart promptly at 9:20am.
At Murrook Cultural Centre (Williamtown) we will participate in four culture workshops: weaving; dance; artifacts; and a bush resource walk. To learn more click here: https://worimi.org.au/about/murook/
In between these sessions we will share a BBQ lunch of sausages, rissoles, onion, 3 salads, a bread roll and a drink.
Then we return back to Woodberry Family Centre by bus, arriving around 2:30pm.
There is a maximum of 50 places in this event. It is important that every adult and child attending books a ticket under their name. The only exemption to this are infants that cannot participate and will not require a bus seat. Please contact Bec at Maitland Family Support on 4914 0444 to confirm this.
