Riposte is a fencing term for a comeback. A return strike after dodging the opponent’s sword.

For Tim Knappstein this comeback has more than cemented him as one of South Australia’s household names of wine royalty, and a pioneer of affordable Pinot Noir.

South Australia took a little while to understand Pinot Noir, as it is a far cry from the classic Aussie ‘big red’. But when quality home grown Pinot Noir started to appear for a reasonable price, people started to take notice. Now it’s one of our favourite red varietals, particularly through the warmer months.

Join Tim Knappstein for an exclusive retrospective tasting of a decade of Riposte. We’ll taste every vintage of ‘The Sabre’ from 2009 – 2019, then enjoy the very rare Reserve range of Pinot Noir over dinner.

This is an exclusive and highly limited event. Very little of these wines still exists, so we can only cater for a small number of guests!
