The workplace is a place where professionals are frequently overwhelmed with tasks. This can lead to exhaustion and even employee attrition. The solution is workplace efficiency. This is working to achieve your goals and incurring minimal or no losses. Companies and teams can save time, money, and other resources which can be used for more important tasks or saved for future emergencies. This can be anything for employees: being able go home earlier, or getting power naps because of improved agility in the workplace. This course focuses on achieving these goals. It teaches participants how to organize workspace, communicate effectively, set key goals, and distinguish between long-term and short-term planning. Participants will learn how to manage time and tasks effectively and handle pressures.

It is clear that tasks can be overwhelming and overwhelming for one person. If you focus on organisational and planning skills, even the most difficult tasks can be easily handled by professionals. This training course aims to improve these skills by teaching participants how to organize their workspaces, communicate effectively, and assign tasks . You can also integrate this training course into a customized training session to meet your team's changing and evolving needs. Contact us if you would like to learn more about the training course and other services we offer. We are more than happy to help.

Task Management Training Outline

Learn how to clean and organise their workspace

Picture this scenario: you’re supposed to submit a printed document to your boss within 30 minutes. Due to some complications, you ended up finishing the document within 20 minutes and leave your desk to go listen to what your colleague has to say. In your haste, you ended up simply throwing the document across a messy table. After 4 minutes, you head back to your desk, frantically walking to grab your document, but you realise it’s not there. You hastily search your drawers, and inside your folders, only to find that it fell behind the desk. It takes you 4 minutes to get your document back and another 2 minutes to get to your boss’ office. You’re not late, but you’re tired and sweaty. Now, in this scenario, we know for a fact that that extra 4 minutes could have saved you much more time. If you are looking at this course then you probably already understand how a messy workplace can literally cost professionals crucial time and energy. As such, it is important to learn more about how to properly organise the workplace.

Know more about team-wide communication

Another factor that can affect the productivity and physical energy of employees is communication. For companies, nothing can cause more headache than an ambiguous, poorly written or spoken order/direction. Worse still, continued cases can actually affect the influence of a leader/colleague towards their subordinates/peers. It is very important for leaders and employees alike to learn how to relay orders through effective, concise and logical speech and grammatically-correct and well-written emails and memos. By learning about how to communicate orders effectively in both speech and writing can help companies and teams save precious time and ensure a loyal team.

Learn the difference between long-term and short-term planning

For any professional, it is very important to possess both short-term and long-term planning abilities as the latter can allow you to focus your vision and resources on a sustainable, beneficial and plausible outcome. The former, on the other hand, will allow you how to effectively figure out how the smallest of actions can lead to the greatest of goals. However, this is often easier said than done; a lot of people sometimes tend to focus on the short-term, such that they seem to work in a very directionless manner, while others may have the reverse: a perfect vision of the future but no action plan with which to execute them. For professionals to excel, we will take our time teaching employees the basics of long-term and short-term planning and how to effectively conduct them with proven goal-setting techniques.

Make backup plans

There can be no denying this: a lot of plans often don’t work out when put into action. There are many reasons behind this: an emergency, traffic jams, broken public transports and various other factors that can affect your ability to implement plans. However, while professionals often can’t control circumstances and situations, they can exert control over the quality of their plans. The most gifted planners understand that if plans go wrong, they must often make 3 or even 4 backup plans or create adjustment for possible problems. A meeting at 2 o’clock can be quickly moved to 3 o’clock to account for traffic jams, for example, and there are way more complicated versions too. Here, participants will learn how to create backup plans work by virtue of their breadth and depth through fun-filled activities and dialogue.

Learn effective task delegation

Each professional is unique and more capable in certain areas than others, and it is every team’s job to figure out how to assign roles within the team to ensure maximum efficiency. However, this can be a bit difficult due to the fact that individual quirks may be difficult to handle at times. It may be necessary to know as much as possible about fellow teammates and superiors, including things such as their dominant skills and disposition in the workplace: some people can be serious and solitary, while others can be more jovial and social, but each of these traits have advantages which, when properly and thoroughly exploited, can result to higher productivity for companies. We discuss personalities within teams and how each member can contribute effectively.
