JACK BIILMANN
Raised between the saltwater coastline of New South Wales’ Far South Coast and the crystal-clear rivers of Australia’s Snowy Mountains Jack Biilmann blends blues, rock, country, soul, and folk into a sound that is uniquely his own, and has earned himself a reputation as one of the most compelling independent Australian artists.
After years of relentless touring, millions of streams, chart success, endorsements from Fender and Maton Guitars, and praise from legendary blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa, Biilmann has earned the respect of audiences and industry alike by staying true to his craft.
Whether headlining his own tours or sharing festival stages with artists including John Farnham, Dan Sultan, Eric Bibb, Vika & Linda Bull, Thirsty Merc, The Cat Empire, Tash Sultana, Ocean Alley, Ash Grunwald, and You Am I, Jack proved his skills as a guitarist, moving effortlessly between intricate fingerstyle passages, driving acoustic rhythms, and blistering blues solos, often with a harmonica around his neck. But it's his songwriting - filled with vulnerability, grit, humour, and hope - that leaves the deepest impression.
His acclaimed releases have consistently charted nationally in Australia, earned industry award nominations, and attracted international media attention, with support from ABC, Triple J, Double J, Foxtel and major publications across Australia, the US and the UK.
His evolution reaches a new peak with his forthcoming album, Move The Mountains. Move The Mountains represents a philosophy that has guided his life: work hard, stay resilient, do whatever it takes to grow, achieve something meaningful, and always show up for the people you love. Now aged in his thirties, Jack describes Move The Mountains as a snapshot of the victories and struggles many people experience during this stage of life. Across the record, he explores love, heartbreak, betrayal, disappointment, helplessness, gratitude, introspection, and the independent spirit that has always fueled his journey. Every song tells honest stories that made him feel something first, in the hope they would do the same for others.
Don't miss Jack performing with his amazing band at the Milton Theatre.
“Biilmann simply knows how to shed realness that resonates with the listener in the most tender way possible.” Blues Rock Review (USA)
“Jack Biilmann is in the upper echelon of guitar players in Australia. From visceral shredding on his electric guitar to delicate fingerpicking on an acoustic, he is able to transport the listener to the crux of the song seemingly effortlessly. His voice has a rich salt-of-the-earth character.” The AU Review
