Meet the wine maker and wine tasting

Join Winemaker and Viticulturist, Caleb Wearne, for an enlightening and interactive exploration of wines from the Canberra District and Hilltops Regions.  The event will showcase a selection of eight premium local wines for tasting, with an interactive discussion hosted by Caleb.  A maximum of 12 tickets are available to provide for an interactive and small gathering.

Caleb, founder and winemaker of Whitton Farm https://www.whittonfarm.com.au, comes from a background in agricultural engineering and a professional focus on regenerative agriculture. Since joining the team at Nick O’Leary Wines as vineyard manager in 2015, he has gone on to work with some of the most significant vineyards within the Canberra District and Hilltops wine growing regions.

His intimate knowledge of these vineyards, paired with his passion for Italian wines, has resulted in the founding of Whitton Farm - which celebrates Italian varieties that grow exceptionally well in our local region; a climate which closely resembles that of central Italy.

Following the wine tasting, enjoy a glass of one of the wines on tasting paired with delights from a grazing platter.  Chat over a glass of wine in the garden.  Order forms will also be available so that you can purchase the wines that you love.

The event will be held in the studio at Honeysuckle Cottage www.honeysucklecottage.com.au - the cottage is used for short stay accommodation and our studio hosts various workshops throughout the year. Tour the cottage and garden before commencing the workshop.
