'Cut to the Chase' Butchery skills for Moovember.

You may be growing a mow... a Ziff or a full length Ned Kelly this November for Men's Mental Health. Perhaps you have decided the beard is not needed (recommended if you're female), but you still want to join, support or show solidarity with the cause. If so, why not join Granite Borders Landcare Moovember event on the 21st November? (if you are committed to the beard, you'll have a fine specimen by that time!)

Join us for Men's Mental Health week at the amazing Tenterfield Men's Shed, located at the back of the TAFE grounds. This project aims to support the Tenterfield Men's Shed, honour local men (women can come, of course!) and offer a workshop with useful practical skills.

Granite Borders Landcare are hosting this practical butchery demonstration. This 'have a yarn' session will include cutting a side of carcass (lamb or beef, depending on availability) to showcase how to make and prepare given cuts.

Our demonstrator is Josh from JLN Butchering. Josh will be showcasing the correct method for butchering a full lamb or steer. 'Best' cuts prepared on the day will be thrown on the free BBQ lunch. Catch up with us at the Tenterfield Men's Shed for a yarn. Take a little time out for yourself and your mental health!

Where: Tenterfield Men's Shed, back of Tenterfield TAFE.

Access from the TAFE grounds, or Wood Street (on the TAFE side of Sir Henry Parkes Primary School).

When: 9:30am registration for a 10am start.

Stick around for the free lunch.

You can also find out more about the more formal Movember bearded event at the following website: https://movember.com/

This project is supported by the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal - Social Outcomes grant.
