CAMPING/CARAVANING Site Rules & Guidelines -

Site allocation – Generally, all sites are unmarked however there are small lights lining Campground One that will give an indication of where to reverse you camper/caravan. In busy periods such as long weekends or events, please setup your sites as close as possible and respect your neighbour…even shout them a beer! Campground One has four powered sites located on a small power pole on the left as you drive in, and must be kept free if you have a non-powered booking. Campground Two is located a little further away (up past the timber post arch) and is ok to use. We do encourage visitors that require generators to setup in this area, and if you are sharing this area, please respect your neighbour with times that your generator is operating.

Water Taps – There are a few water taps lining Camp Ground One and the water is supplied from our big green water tank located next to Cherry’s Function Centre. The water is filtered rain water and is ok to drink. There is no chlorine or any other additive to our water supply. We kindly ask that you check all your hose connections for leaks and use what you need however be mindful and remember that WE ARE ON TANK WATER. If you find any leaking taps or witness other guests washing their vans, 5th wheeler, cars etc, please let Cherry’s Management know so we attend to the issue.

Amenities – Our Male & Female toilets/showers are located within Cherry’s Function Centre. We also have a unisex non-ambulant or disable toilet/shower section that has a code on the door. If this amenity is required, please let us know. Our amenities are also supplied with filtered tank water and again we kindly ask that you be mindful and keep showers to a minimal time frame. Parents or carers must attend these amenities with small children to assure their safety and correct clean use. Our amenities are checked daily, however if you find that they require attention please contact Cherry’s Management. Please help us keep these amenities respectable…think of the next person as that person just may be you.

Dump Point – Sorry we don’t have one…we are not on town sewer. Please DO NOT empty your toilets in our amenities as the chemicals used in your camper/caravan toilets interferes with our onsite enviro-cycle and can clog our system.

Caravan/Camper Grey Water – Don’t water your neighbours. If the campgrounds are busy, please catch or contain your grey water to ensure it doesn't travel into other sites…be mindful and respect of other guests.

Fires – Fires are allowed in “fire pits” only. No fires are allowed on the ground, even if there is rocks surrounding the fire. Only burn clean wood/timber and do not burn timbers like treated pine or timbers that contain nails or screws etc such as pallets. Also do not burn glass bottles and cans. We offer a few fire pits for use and these are located around the campsite and at the entrance to Cherry’s Function Centre. You can bring your own however please take it with you when you leave as we don’t like to collect old rusty fire pits. We also sell a generous 20kg of fire wood for $20…contact Cherry’s Management.

IMPORTANT NOTE: NO FIRES OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED IN A TOTAL FIRE BAN…FINES MAY APPLY.

Rubbish – General BAGGED rubbish is acceptable and can be placed in the “Wheelie/Otto bins” at the entrance of Cherry’s Function Centre. If the bins happen to be near full you can leave your BAGGED rubbish next to them. Please do not over fill the bins as we pull the bags out by hand. A friendly reminder that we are not a tip/dump, so please do not leave any broken chairs, tents, gazebo’s, bikes, kids toys, fire pits, bedding, hoses, tarps, car or caravan parts etc…its BAGGED general waste only.

Recycle Cans/Bottles – We take part in the NSW 10c return & earn scheme. All recyclable cans, glass bottles, and plastic bottles have this clearly marked on them, and can be placed in the blue round bins located near Cherry’s Function Centre. PLEASE…these blue bins are NOT rubbish bins, and the recycle bins do get sorted by hand…your assistance in respecting this request is appreciated. Items such as wine bottles, tin cans, oil bottles, milk bottles, spirit bottles should be included in general bagged rubbish. Again, Thank you, and appreciate your help.

Pets – We are pet friendly, and this mainly applies to “mans best friend”…our beloved pooches! Just like your children, you know your dog better than anyone, so please care for them accordingly. We have many wild animals that call the cherry farm home, along with our farm chickens and pet peacocks. If you have an active pooch that likes to chase or would tend to get aggressive to these free ranging animals we kindly ask that you leash your dogs. We also may have other guests that may not be as comfortable with your furry family as much as you, so again we kindly ask that you respect all aspects, and at worst case leash your dogs. Cleaning up after your pets is also appreciated.

Cherry’s Bar & Grill - is opened from 5pm Thursday nights for dinner (pizza night), and from 10am till late on Friday, Saturday, & Sundays nights with Lunch & Dinner menu on offer. Cherry’s Bar & Grill is a licenced premise and NO BYO is allowed. Bookings not essential however are appreciated.

Cherry’s Function Centre – This area has our Camper/Caravaning amenities located inside for your use. We kindly ask that no children play in this area, such ball games, and hide & seek etc. No alcohol is to be brought into this area at all times. This is part of our licenced premise when our Function Centre bar is in operation.

Activity Do’s & Don’t – Feel free to enjoy the property with walks, push bike rides, balls games, and other outdoor games. Remote control cars and Drones are OK as long they are used in a non-dangerous and respectful manner. We do not allow motorised activities on the property such as motor cross bike riding, four-wheel driving, or any unsafe use of motor vehicles which include driving in a reckless and or dangerous manner. All vehicles must stick to the dirt roads, camp grounds, and car parks. There is no driving on other grassed areas or through the cherry trees unless directed by Cherry’s Management.

Animals – Remember, you are on a farm in the Mid Western Region of NSW. There are many animals that you may encounter and we recommend you enjoy them from a safe distance. Whilst a close encounter is possible, it is highly unlikely for the majority of the animals listed however you are almost guaranteed to see Eastern Grey Kangaroos, Wallabies, Rabbits, and Hare. The other animals possibly look at YOU from afar - Wombats, Koalas, Echidnas, Possums, Deer, Pigs, Foxes, and Wild Dogs & Cats. In the warmer months the reptiles come out to visit and we do see Goannas, Shingle Back Lizards, Bearded Dragons, Red Belly Black Snakes, Eastern Brown Snakes. If you spot a snake, stay well clear and they will normally move on away from you. We also have plenty of varieties of birds, bees, bugs, and spiders. This information is not to alarm you, it is just to remind you that this is their home as well…just like swimming in the ocean with all the friendly fish along with the nasties!

Hazards – There is a lot of uneven surfaces around the Cherry Farm. Hills, slopes, ditches, dips, stairs, and holes. Holes may appear overnight, dug from rabbits, hare, wombats etc. Watch your step and it is best to wear enclosed runners, sneakers, or boots. In the warmer months Eastern Brown Snakes need to be avoided. If you see one or something that even resembles one, stay well clear and contact Cherry’s Management and give details of where it was last spotted.

Finally, we hope you enjoy your time at Ilford Valley Cherry Farm, and we ask that you respect all visitors and care for each other.
